Yes but I didn’t say it wouldn’t be checked. I said the issue is the scope VAR has to overturn decisions the ref saw clearly

MacAllister red card was a joke.
Side foot, for the ball, both players instep, no studs, tiny fraction later than their guy, foot not especially high.
Yellow would have been harsh. Red was ridiculous.
Now this hits us hard for the Newcastle game, when I would have liked to see Endo, Mac and Szoboszlai start to form an understanding (based on current personnel).

Fist 10-15 mins were terrible but thought we played some great stuff in spells afterwards. Newcastle will be a good test next week to see where we really are.
