I get that, that’s fair. Nunez was stupid, and in the context of the game today, a defender will go down, poleaxed, for that sort of contact. That’s what the ref bought, but Nunez was indeed stupid and he gave him every reason to send him off.

Well I read into it that it wasn’t very bad what he did (focusing on a shove and slight head butt and theatrical falling), which it damn right was in my opinion.
