Pre- and In-Match Thread - Everton vs Liverpool - 24th April, 20:00

I do think it is fair to question if it is in our best interest to keep Salah another season.

He’s still insanely talented but as he loses that physical edge and explosive speed he’s arguably more part of the problem than the solution.

That’s what I read somewhere on here, yes.

I am beginning to think he can’t play effectively if Mac is further in attack, and I definitely prefer Mac in attack position.

No the team has

Another game !!

Maybe he’s just not as good as we thought.

Nope waste of a shirt but its all Salahs fault.

What the blazes is this commentator doing rattling on about games from ancient history? Everton in Europe FFS.

Very hard when your forwards don’t take their chances

maybe its positioning, i have no idea. but he is lacking that dom swag we saw at the beginning of the season. almost like doubting himself

CL has smashed the fuck out of VVD all night. Never seen him so bullied

he is good

Mo has done nothing this game and is no threat atm, at least Nunez was a threat but couldn’t hit a barn door unless it is goalie shaped

All players are doubting right now, it’s painfully obvious. And Klopp has obviously lost his ability to turn their doubts into belief.

The argument is not whether we conceded first or not. It’s whether there’s any difference in conceding 23 times first or 25 times. Conceding 23 times first is pretty much the same (i.e. conceding first way too much, and no argument there), and yet would have been enough to win the league.

So as bad as conceding first has been this season, it’s not been the catalyst for not winning the league. Had we not conceded vs Palace, or today, we haven’t scored…and two draws would have seen is lose the title just as much…

I really value your opinion here @Limiescouse, often read absolute gems of a post by you, but I can’t understand which point I posted you find not to be true and why (judging from the emoji).

We should just pull the bandage off imo. Get some money, pray that Darwin can improve on his 12% finishing, and get another striker.

End of an era.
Managers going and the new one can move a chunk of players on and bring in his own men.

Nunez other than the miss hasn’t done a thing in this game.

What a fucking shite evening.

Don’t deny that but can you think back to his last top game?

Look at the difference between Odegaard, Bernardo Silva, Cole Palmer and Szobo.
