There has to be two players between the last attacker and the goal to be onside. They were checking the keepers position and if Mane interfered.

I would have no issue with somebody else having a go, but I would assume these drills are practiced in training and Trent remains clear of the rest. Free kicks are generally such low percentage chances anyway I doubt it will be a major factor over the course of a season.
