Really would have loved a last minute winner so that Pep celebration could be converted into a million memes.

You can enjoy the game but not the performance.

Even more so at 2 - 1

I dont get it, its madness, its no wonder Fabinho looks fucked, he can’t be patrolling the entire midfield by himself.

The same as last week against Brentford.

Dare I say it - this was the first time I’d liked Gini to be subbed on … Curt very quiet most of the day , but not convinced Naby had done a better job (exept he’d be his old Leipzig self)

We are lacking a bit of balance in MF without Gini.

The Elliot role was supposed to address this thru evolution of the MF.

We could’ve done with Thiago as a sub in this game when 2-1 up

I miss Otamendi and Fernandino as CBs

Wouldn’t have mattered with our midfield today to be honest.

We always miss the ones we don’t have. We would have missed Hendo/ Fab if they were not playing and Gini was playing instead. There’s no reason to think Gini would have been the solution for that midfield performance today. He would probably have been the first one we would have asked to be removed given how many times that has happened over the course of his time here.

Fair point.
Still we are lacking balance in our MF.

And it seems to me the positioning of Hendo on the right needs to be evaluated

The space for Foden on the right was not simply a RB problem…

Absolutely. Midfield left defence way too exposed

Our team works as a unit and when one section doesn’t work other sections looks bad

midfield was way too threadbare…

absolutely garbage first half… based on the first half performance , a draw is a fair result… but based on the second half…we lot should have won it

Disgrace considering who we were playing against? Bit harsh that. They’re a good side

If I was manager today after we scored I would have gone 4-5-1 and shut the game down and hit them on the counter, Klopp is very brave but sometimes I do wonder if he did this I know he loves attacking football. :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

I would like to see us managing games differently when we take the lead. Continuing to be very open and looking for another goal to kill off the game can backfire.

Sorry but I disagree the first half was just abysmal.

100% agree.

Matip (and Alisson) kept us in the game - that was the only 'positiveā€˜

Rest of the players (even Salah) were just awful.

Why do all pundits say the same thing when a team goes a goal up…
ā€œShould shut up shop now and bring a defender onā€ ā€œLoad up the midfieldā€ ā€œDrop back 10 metresā€ spout spout spout…
I always thought this was a game of entertainment as well as results based…!
These pundits all make a good living from the game we have learnt to love from an early age… Why then are they so intent on destroying the fun and excitement from attacking style football games… in the way Jurgen sets up his team to play come hell or high water and full marks for him for doing it…
They really do need to listen to the shite they spout, because preaching and brainwashing such a large captive audience… we won’t have any games worth watching in the near future if their style of tactics are adhered to… The Neville clowns are masters at the art of taking the fun out of the game and IMHO… need fucking right off…!!
PS. Murphy also… the miserable bastard
