I get that Curtis doesn’t yet excel in the defensive side of the game but that will come. Everything else about his game is special and he still has so much potential and room for growth. He is a special player and I hope Klopp commits to him this season.

Overall, the game should be 1-0 to us. We deserve the lead. Porto was looking a bit dangerous in the beginning, but has offered too little. Our second goal came from a totally brilliant ball by Milner, but their keeper takes care of that on average so Mane scoring is a bit lucky.
I am not impressed, but some players like Jones and Henderson have been solid and our defense is in control which is very good. Front 3 disappointing, particularly Mane and Jota. So-so this but we will certainly win this unless something strange happens.
Edit: maybe I am not positive enough. Probably I a not. I should work on that I guess

Jones has been absolutely stellar again. My MOTM so far.
Should be in contention for first team minutes even with everybody fit.

Methodical , dominant , 2nd gear - I like it.

Jones and Hendo extremely assertive. It’s almost harrasment.

He gives us some bite from the edge of the box which I really like. First goal was 80% his as he forced the rebound.

Wasn’t impossible to save even though it was a great shot and I think we would have liked Allison to save it, but point taken. I was probably not positive enough
Anyway, worries put to side, it was some quite nice football at times and we are in cruise control now for the second half

This is what he did at youth level and what I expected of him, so glad that it is what is coming through in his last couple of games as I have been critical of his offensive play, mainly becausI expected more of this from him. Love a cocky confident Curtis
