We have Bradley, but he probably won’t be fit until after Christmas after suffering a stress fracture in his back in pre-season. We also Mabaya but he’s only recently back playing after missing the last six months himself.
Bajcetic was versatile in the youth system. He played RB a number of times at both U18 and U21 levels.
Thankfully, none of our group stage opponents are in the arse end of nowhere. In fact, I think tonight is the farthest we have to travel for a group match. Could have been way worse.

Yeah, we dont have anyone who can replace Trent’s creative quality, but there is a lot of benefits from the approach we can retain by using Baj or Endo there - energetic enough to physically manage the transitions, defensively sound, and comfortable if not eye catching with the ball at their feet. Think the Partey version of the role, just with potentially more quality and fewer alleged criminal investigations.
