Pre/In match: Chelsea v Liverpool (Sunday August 13, 16:30 BST)

Any post match thread ?

Chelsea will take a lot more points out of the other sides at home. Getting a point against them isnā€™t a bad result.

First half, yes. Both quite sloppy in possession second half, although they were hardly alone.

Note for Klopp:

Gakpo is not CM, will never be a CM and will get find out against an opposition that has natural CMs like today.

Jotaā€™s shit today.

We need a DM to liberate Alexis. John Henry has to now give a deadline to Tony Bloom to settle things or risk getting shafted by a shady agent.

What do you expect from a second-rate squad fodder player?

nowhere near the shittest Chelsea team. They looked miles better than last year (a low bar I grant)

And Chelsea didnā€™t score theres either so its more a fair result than we just about deserved a draw.

I think Klopp knows this.

Thatā€™s why we currently bid a British transfer record fee for one.

Szoboszlai is very good. So different with himself in friendly game. Dont fooled by his handsome, he got Milner shithouse. Both Konate and Vvd is good. Mac10 is ok as number 6. But Roberson, gakpo is terrible.

Two big things

  • The system suits Enzo and he showed why he is a 100m player
  • The perceived weakness in their side was based on players who hadnt showed they can do it at this level. Namely Gallagher , Chuckwuemeke and Jackson. Today they all do well, especially Jackson.

Weā€™ll be better once we get a DM. Nothing too bad on display today but a proper DM would change a lot of things about how we use Dominik and Macca

We were so positive at the beginning until they scored and heads went down, we need to get our mentality sorted, but I feel this will come with time as we gel further. Overall I am pretty positive and thought defensively we looked better in the 2nd half

Whats more an issue is Nunez looks no more a footballer at our level than he did this time last year.

Hope Robertson starts playing better, or we might be witnessing his swansong season for usā€¦ He is part of the fibre, he needs to be stepping up to the plate more

Please explain this for me.

Indeed, our standouts with Ali and Virgil on the day imo. You can see how both will thrive even more with an energetic 6 next to them.

Elliot was also excellent from the bench. Gave us some much needed energy and control at the end of the game. Not much else positive to say though. Apart from the goal, we were so sloppy with the ball in attacking situations.

Robbo had a far better 2nd half

He played on a side that barely got him a touch. And still created a chance for himself that was a fraction away from being the winner

He still has to grow, but heā€™s clearly brings a lot.

Yeah Enzo is a quality player. Deserved MOM. Gonna take our new guys a while to bed in but feeling hopeful once we secure our 6
