I see what you did there when talking about time - very clever

Given the majority of Liverpool games kick off between midnight and 4am down here, this time is pure perfection. Can now participate in the match thread……but that can be risky. Hope you have subscribed to Stan Sport.

Don’t let facts get in the way of a good whinge.

You’re not new here, you ought to know that already!

Feels more Thiago in fairness, @walshy07

It’s early days on Chiesa. He cost buttons, but has missed a lot of football and needs to build it up again. He has quality.

Hopefully as we get into the season we will see him playing here and there, as a quality rotation option. If that’s what we get out of him, it was money well spent.

If we get even more out of him than that, it will be a great bargain. If we get less, it will have been a low cost risk that didn’t work out.

We all knew the score when we signed him. Let’s see what happens.

Should Liverpool win this evening in Germany, they will become the first team in the club’s history to win each of their opening six away fixtures of a season.

It would also see the Reds win 11 of their opening 12 games of a campaign for the first time in their history.

It’s ok i had my fingers crossed while typing ( copy and pasting ) this, so no curses…

Sounds like Melo

Sounds like Melo

Seriously.
He is here a few weeks and the comments have already started.

Maybe as @RER suggests, take Slots comments on board?

Melo is an interesting shout. I was impressed with him when he came, at least with the effort and work he put in. Unfortunately he broke down and that was that, at least at Liverpool. He was able to show his quality again after he moved on.

It was an understandable risk for us, and it could have been a shrewd move, but the timing with his fitness didn’t work out.

With Salah, Jota, Diaz, Nunez, Gakpo and Chiesa, we are well stocked for forward options. Chiesa is here to make up the numbers and if he can give us more than that, great.

We will go big, presumably, when Salah departs, and like all reds I’m also watching to see what becomes of Nunez.

In what way?
Thiago was a quality player?
Or he was unlucky with injuries?

If its injuries you are concerned about, could you consider Slots press conference update?

Comparing him with Melo is fucking trite as well to be fair.
