Jones looks lost in midfield, Milner is getting to slow and what the hell is wrong with Firmino? Will not waste any more words on Adrian except useless.
ManƩ wins almost every battle just like Fabinho and Wijnaldum. Henderson should come in the second half for Jones.

Gini is invisible and Bobby is just strolling around. Would like to see more from Jones but there are more senior players offering less. Need to show a bit more urgency. CanĀ“t work the ref out . Giving free kicks to players for falling over their own feet,

Iād get Milly off before he gets a second booking. Been flying in since the first whistle. Give it ten minutes and get Jota on and give Bobby a rest. Adrian is frightening me every time it goes anywhere near.
Defensively not great.
Aside from that Iāve been watching Gini really closely this evening to see how he gets on at the base of midfield. First observation is that his movement is borderline lazy. He gets the ball, moves it on and thatās basically it. Thereās no movement to try and get it back and keep possession rolling.
As a result our midfield control of the game is poorer than it should be. Jones and Miler coughing up possession doesnāt help either.

Fabinho, Robertson and Mane our best players that half. Fabinho really uses his tackling/intercepting ability so well at centre back.
Milner and Firmino first up for the chop, although it might be Jones before Milner.
Terrible game so far really, hopefully weāll improve second half. Would be disappointing to drop points to these, they arenāt very good.

Ridiculous scoreline. We still have a clean sheet, but itās only due to luck and Ajax not taking their chances clinically enough. As for our attacking play, it has been virtually non-existent, apart from a few moves by Robertson and ManĆ© on the left side. The goal came from one of those moves, with an unfortunate Ajax defender scoring a strange own-goal.
Not a great game so far, especially on our side. I hope that our lads can improve their game during the second half. Space should be opening up with time going by and we should be able to use the pace of our forward players. Fingers crossed that we can take the three points tonight!!!

A bit high-linish in that first half hour. You do have to admit Joe looks quite stylish sprinting back after the offside trap fails.
We look dodgy at the back but Iām happy with the 1-0 lead. Same again second half.
