On the downside, we have given away too many clear chances, and on another day Villa might scored a couple.
On the upside we have looked quite sharp, which is pleasing to see after the break. Not our sharpest, but also far removed from some of the lackadaisical stuff earlier in the season.
Our fullbacks look like they are getting back to their level, which is great to see. And I am enjoying watching Salah and Nunez play. They carry so much threat.
Not perfect, but so far so good. If we finish the job we gain two points on Spurs in the race for top four. Many games to go, but top four has to be the objective in the league for now.

Good first half by everyone. Just tighten up a little bit at the back and hopefully something goes well for Nunez. The lad is chasing everything and deserves a bit of luck.

For all the cryarsing pregame, Ox has been quietly decent. Not forcing his way into a fully fit first eleven decent, or getting a new contract decent, but he just got on with his job, made his runs and provided an outlet on the left.
Would still like to see us get a third, and Nunez and Salah shuffle over and Ben Doak come on on seventy, mind.

Itās pretty impressive Nunez has five PL goals, given all the shots heās squandered. Could be on Haaland numbers otherwise.
Villa defence is wide open so more goals there for the taking.

Regrettably, so is ours, if a little less so.
Good to be two up. We can get more goals, but also look like we could concede as well. Old cliche, but next goal matters.
Darwin has had chances, but good to see him keep trying and not hide.
Paul Tierney will probably stamp his non-authority on the game though. He is yoyoing between letting the game flow, and calling up small/non-existant infringements.
Ox has done decent. Probably needs first sub off, else picl up an injury.

We need to maintain our concentration and intensity 2nd half. Dont want to give these fuckers a sniff.and make it unnecessarily tense.
They have had some pretty good chances and donāt want then converting one. Darwin converts some of his and we should be out of sight ! Hopefully we can get in a position to give decent minuteās to our subs.
