Thats the problem, our players wont gain much confidence even from a big win but a miss like that can surely damage confidence. That and the risk of injury makes me wish this game really hadnt gone ahead. Im watching this more worried than i did the Southampton game

When you are playing badly it takes games and a win or two to get the confidence up and the side flowing again.
Iām glad we went strong for that reason. Plus Villa celebrated like theyād just won the world cup when they beat our kids last season. Plus we need a decent run in the Cup.

Under the Covid bubble rules, the only U/23 players that can be used are those already in the 1st team bubble, unless Klopp fielded the whole U/23 team.
So he had a choice at CB of Fab, Williams or Phillips
