Can we take control of this game now?
Last week we capitulated after having a man sent off (wrongly). This week the boot is on the other foot. If we can’t turn this around there really is no hope.
No, I have been watching him off the ball and there is no movement trying to get behind or moving into the channels looking for the ball.
Against ten or not - I’m still not convinced we win this in the 2nd. Brentford can dig in and the movement up front won’t get any better I think - it looks disjointed as it is.

City scored quickly, before we had time to settle with 10, they have 15 mins to organise, but so does Iraola.
Our big chance was the Barcola one on one. Need to not panic and keep probing. They may defend resolutely for most of the second (something we failed to do for even AC few seconds against Shitty), so need to be patient. Rio and Gakpo from the bench as well are options.
Is keep the same team for 15 mins or so, then turn the screw. Also, with VVD, Jacquet and Araojo, the short corners should look to cross the ball from different angle rather than shooting from 30 yards.
Normal service resumed when not playing a Championship level team.
The fall off of this team as an attacking unit is wild to be honest. Three £100m players and so often we look clueless.

It seemed to me that after they went one man down we became even more sloppy than we were already. I hope we come out with purpose for the second half.
After seeing the concentration, patience and lucidity mid week this is depressing!

Brentford have done well to create turnovers. Midway through the half, we lost the ball several times trying to play out from the back, with Brentford pouncing and getting quickly up the field.
They’ll be more compact now, but we have a while half to find a solution or two.
We give things up offensively with Araujo and Kerkez on the pitch, Araujo never overlaps compared to Frimpong and Kerkez is poorer on the ball than Tsimi, but both are better defensively.
Level it by the hour mark, then go on to win. Hopefully we come out and start the second half fast.

Yup. The red card stemmed from VVD, Jacquet and Araojo getting together in the box…and then we played it short to try to set up a long range shot instead.

I was just suggesting reffing the game fairly.
The red was a touch soft i thought, so we got something. Thought Wirtz being hauled down was a pen. Macca one was a correct overturn.
Poor finishing that half. Need to be better 2nd. Expect Brentford to sit in now, need to be quick with the ball.
We just have no control in midfield. It’s all
Loose. Some nice interplay but once again we get cut through repeatedly.

Why waste time when he knows its not getting played into him the man signed to play these passes takes 10 touches then lays easy pas off.
Makes sense to overload them in the wide areas but we lose some height on corners
