Pre Match: Burnley Vs Liverpool (EPL - 14/09/2025 - 14.00 BST)

After the international break, we are back to the day job and a trip to Turf Moor to take on Burnley in the 4th Premier League fixture of the season.

After gaining a full 9 points from our opening games, with a couple of tricky fixtures out of the way, we will go in as strong favourites. Burnley have only won one fixture, against Sunderland, whilst losing the other two.

However, expect Burnley to play a low block and try to catch is on the break. This is a test for how the likes of Wirtz can unpick a tight defence, and also how well our new look team can deal with the threat of a counter attack.

No team news as of yet, but with Bradley completing a full match for Northern Ireland against Germany, he must be in contention for the right back slot.

Anyway, we should get a better idea of the team as the players return from international duty. Reds Assemble, I suppose.

We have cover everywhere so I expect the South American contingent (Damn, we down to 2?) to be on the bench (Mac 100%, Ali 35%).

We should see Dom in middle with Jones (or Wirtz) and Grav, top 3 of Cody (or Wirtz), Hugo and Mo.

Def same except for RB. I assume Frim is not 100% so I guess Bradley. It helps that we have an extra days rest. No excuses, no Forrest repeats.

Any sort of win will do.

Right now it is about building up a head of steam and things like form and style can wait for a more defining moment.

This is in obviously a contradiction to what I have said for the previous 3 games but now that we’ve had the results we’ve had it’s about strapping in and riding the ride!

Officials for the match:

Referee: Michael Oliver.
Assistants: Stuart Burt, James Mainwaring.
Fourth official: Chris Kavanagh.
VAR: Paul Tierney.
Assistant VAR: Eddie Smart.

Oliver and Tierney the golden duo. A Newcastle fan and the guy fucked us more times than I can remember, what could possibly go wrong. :see_no_evil_monkey:

No chance of winning this with Oliver in charge, he’s 0-3 under Slot.

And was in charge of the fourth game against Forest.

Suppose records need to be broken.

I’m already glad it’s not an early Sat kickoff right after an international break :star_struck:

Are you saying we lost all 3 PL games that he referred with Arne? Who were they against??

No he drew 2 and lost one

Forest was the loss
Everton and Man Utd he drew.

Isak hattrick

Do not like the officials or the VAR. We will have to win by two clear goals to get the three points if you know what I mean. Anything closer than that and they will rob us.

Do our job and we will be fine. I’d like to see Isak come on for the last 20-30 mins and get a goal in a 3-1 Liverpool win.

Wirtz has had a lovely game against N Ireland and now it’s time to translate that to the Prem as he gets to grips with what is required here. I’m backing him to have his best game so far and to score.

3 points, no injuries or suspensions. That is all.

At least we can’t get same officials when we play the Blueshite

The club have announced that we will be playing in our new green 3rd kit in this game.

Well, I suppose there are shirts to flog. I just hope that this one isn’t camouflage.

He’ll probably come on with roughly 15 minutes to play. That would be some feat.

15mins? I was thinking more 10. Guess it’s 4 goals instead then

The most important match of the season, again.
A must win, so score more than them.
Anything better is a bonus.

Pointless even mentioning the officials anymore. It’s beyond ridiculous now. It would be interesting seeing how the other clubs in the PL have been treated over the past few years, see if anyone else has had the same select bunch of fucking cheats inflicted upon them time and time again.
A constant stream of mancs and wankers like Oliver who seems to have aquired an axe to grind.

Easy 3 nil no stress win please…
