We will win this,I Have no doubt, but it ain’t easy,Liverpool forever, but I have a very soft spot for Burnley going back a looong way…

hope we see Izak doing his thing and the other newbies getting stuck right in.

I’m sure that Arne and his team will know the personnel, formation and tactics to see us through this game. COYR YNWA :+1:

You see @mattyhurst ?

All’s well with the world

4 teams are sitting with 9 points. We are 3-0-0. The other three teams are 3-0-1. For 2 of those 3 teams, the 1 loss is to us

Will be watching this in Lanzarote.
With a spurs and arsenal fan…theyve both won…

Expect this from you later when we beat Burnley.

On a serious note, we’ve won 3 from 3 without being that good. It would be nice to put in a strong performance and beat these by more than a single goal.

I was thinking this as well. It’s truly remarkable, isn’t it?

Hopefully we’ll be able to confirm the trend this afternoon. Fingers crossed for three further points today! :crossed_fingers:

(Edit: your post would have been perfect without that gif, but oh well…)

Surprised to see Mac in from the start

I’m guessing Szoboszlai still at RB.

Yeah, that is extremely surprising. I’d have expected him to be on the bench if fit enough, and to be introduced in the last 30 minutes or so. He’s obviously in better shape than everyone thought, but given the jet lag issue, it’s still a bit surprising.

And Slot obviously continues with his experiment of Dom at right back. Two right-backs on the bench.

On paper, it’s a good team on the pitch, with a very strong and balanced bench too. Let’s see how it pans out.

Edit: No Isak on the bench? That’s a slight surprise for me.

Feels like a side to bring out the best in Wirtz! Am looking forward to seeing him develop a better understanding with players both in front and behind him.

Well, he hasn’t had a baby this week.

Hopefully he’s not gone on strike already.

I’m assuming that they have kept Isak away so that Oliver can’t send him off out of spite.

He was about average in his sharpness for Sweden and that was just for 15 minutes. He’s nowhere near ready for a PL away match where it’s likely to be physical.

Yeah fair enough. I’m glad that the club have the long term in mind with this lad. :+1:

I thought Isak would be on the bench and we would bring him on for 15 mins or whatever, to start to get up to speed. Plenty of games to come though, and I am happy with our measured approach.

Interesting to see the Szobo right back thing continue, with Bradley fit. Szobo has bossed it there, and there’s no argument here.
