Yeah, it should be like that. But different halves sometimes have their own life. If we go into the break 1-0 up, we may win 6-0, but the result might also be 2-1 Burnely, depending on second half play.
I wouldn’t feel safe, despite Burnley being a bottom team. Second half is second half and we don’t have a very big parachute to rest on with 1-0. But sure, we will probably beat them with 3 goals or so. probably.
happy with the score… not happy with chances missed… im ok with the pace of the game as we need to save our legs as much as possible in this crazy period
We are playing a very weak team. This is not the best we have played all season. Come on, we have played far better against man city and also arguably better against palace despite not having control like this. Against the bottom teams, you don’t have to be THAT good to have total dominance. Far harder to dominate Arsenal etc.
Positives: we are playing so well and dominating, that’s very encouraging and we have to keep it up in the second half.
Negatives: we let Burnley in the game but being only 1-0 up, a goal by them against the run of play and with awakening the fans would change the game completely.
Now if this post doesn’t win Understatement of the day award, I don’t know what will…
Comfortable first half for us. Our lads could, and probably should be three goals in the clear. But Burnley seem harmless so far, and the early goal helped us a lot of course.
I’m also quite sure that we’ll improve during the second half, while Burnley will struggle to keep up the pace. We’ll see, but hopefully our lads can score one or two goals early after the break. Otherwise, it will be all about staying patient and looking for the breakthrough, while staying solid at the back. Fingers crossed that we can take the three points home tonight!
