Pre Match Chelsea vs Liverpool, Sunday 2nd Jan 2022 (!) - Premier League

I think we’re probably aiming for a workhorse midfield, just grind out a clean sheet, and hope that the forward line can work something magical. That bench doesn’t lend itself to confidence, not sure who apart from Oxlade-Chamberlain and Jones can even play a role up front for us…

Lukaku with a bandage on his neck. Should be fine for the next match.

Haven’t you heard the latest??

Won’t play for Chelsea again.

I’m pretty sure…

Damm!!

I missed Curtis on the bench.

Confident now.

Being guillotined by your manager seems a bit excessive

At least we have Kelleher in goal and not Adrian. Small mercis and all that … !

Nah. Once he realizes Inter’s not so likely to refund his transfer fee…or he could go to Everton!

Two on the bench just in case.

No. Just a little love nibble. Leaves a couple of marks, that’s all.

Adrian to come on for Salah to play the clown and distract their defense if we aren’t up with 10 mins to go. We’re short on strikers by the looks of things.

Tuchel does have a touch of Nosferatu about him. To point out the obvious

Fabinho looks cool so I’m calm (for the instant).

Not half as bad as I expected tbh. Bar Milner it’s a good team. At the end of the day for Keita/Ox if you can’t get games ahead of Jim you aren’t doing enough.

What’s all this crap against Milner and his knickers?

Feel badly for Matip.

Once again Klopp doesn’t trust Keita to do defensive work.

Nor do I but he could have gone with AOC.
Still I like Milner and it’s better he start than come on later.

Keita’s been better than Henderson and Milner recently so a disappointing lineup off the bat. Thought we’d seen the last of that type of midfield, a bit frustrating to say the least.

Being honest I can’t find the energy to care too much about this, the league has probably gone already thanks to this christmas period. Hopefully we’re not as poor as the other night.

A very good manager who has a history of wearing out his welcome quickly.

Could not agree more with this @ILLOK. It’s an odd feeling for me. General sense of apathy, I find myself caring less right in this moment than I did with empty stadiums.
