You can feel his control slipping away as it escalates

You get fouled. The ref ignores it. You have to go off.

And now the ref gives them another.

It’s that kind of night where if we can keep this atmosphere and grab a winner it’ll be the first big moment for Iraola and this team.

Come on, rattle that Argie pricks head off his fucking shoulders.

Not getting anything from this ref tonight

He didn’t have treatment

1-1 at half time. Content enough with that.

Isak has looked sharper again, which is nice to see.

Atleti player rolling around as if he’s been shot in the face.

Pull Rio. Move Barcola to the left. Move Munoz to the right.

Liverpool 1-1 Atletico Madrid

Football Reporter at Anfield

Credit to Milos Kerkez. He’s had a poor start but that goal comes from his sheer determination to win the ball back. And it’s wonderful from the other full-back in Ronald Araujo too. That’s woken Anfield up!

Sure, there is a lot to criticise here, but look at the game. It’s an actual game. Whatever the result will be, and yes this is early and I expect our system to be much better 5 months from now, it is still a good watch.

I did not, a single second, stop up to ask myself “why the fucking hell do I watch this game when my team plays like zombies passing the ball sideways and backwards”.

I mean, I was entertained. Athletico a bit better, but that’s not a surprise.

Neither did Isak. It’s based on having to stop the game. The ref held up the throw in to go and check in on Isak and that triggered the rule. But with Lee he seemingly let the throw in go and made Lee get up, which allowed him to stay on.

I know thanks

Our midfielders need to be aware defensively, Szob just watching the ball at times ne needs to have his head on a swivel and be aware where their players are.

This ref is poor giving them everything as they are so theatrical, the one against Macca on Koke was a joke and Barcola had the ball in a great area.

Kerkez really needs to improve his decision making.

Love Araujo and Rio keep threatening don’t take a backward step.

Araujo making a good impression so far. The pressing run up the pitch reminiscent of Robbo, the sexy assist.

Have to remind myself not to get attached to a loan player

Felt like I was watching a different game than some of the commentators here. Dom and others getting dogs abuse.

Our set up is really open but all the players are up for it and giving a 100%. It’s a world away from Slotball. We’re winning this in 2nd half :flexed_biceps:

Also, Araujo the best RB in the world :joy:

We need to improve massively out of possession. Teams just walk through us.
Must have a kid in youth team better than what we have now

So why did you say something very different then?

This is the third time this has happened to me today. You people around here are strange
