We took our chances, that’s been the difference. Could have been 2-2 that. Started off well and ended that half equally poorly. Half arsed passes need to stop and should focus better. Get another one please, this has become unnecessarily nervy!

I love the guy but a brain fog seems to set in for short periods in some games, where he forgets how to play football.
I’m more than happy to take a 2 goal lead into the break. Palace look more than capable of scoring and Alisson has saved us on more than one occasion. Guaita does look vulnerable in goal for Palace, though.

We have played as good as I’ve seen us all season. But can someone tell Matip that we are 2-0 and to stop playing dangerous square balls at the back please? All we have to do is keep the ball and let them come onto us. Then, things will open up for us in attack. We don’t have to force the opening. I know it is how we play but it’s so frustrating to feel like we are one bad pass away from gifting them a way back into the game. Allison, what a keeper we have. I would not swap him for anyone else in the world.

Today Jones has been superb, and Hendo has been really poor.

Matip and Hendo needs to remember how to defend. Oh my god…Matip is a nightmare with his weird passes and Hendo is no wide midfielder. Hendo needs to go back central and cover TAA as his main job.

Jones got caught in possession and almost gave them a goal. He has been good other than that but you would have a different opinion if Crystal Palace had scored that chance.

Anyway, enough of the negative stuff. We played some good football that half.
Brilliant delivery from Robertson. Jones is progressing the ball extremely well through midfield. Firmino bar that last giveaway has been good. Ox with a nice finish.
Cut out the sloppy play and we can kill this game off in the first 15 minutes of the second half.

Fair point. Could talk about Robbo who’s been unplayable since returning from his ban. He hasn’t given up on the title!

A half we totally bossed - Bobby playing no look flicks, 2 beautiful assists from Robbie. And 5 minutes at the end where we seemed to rest on a good performance.
Well, defending based on nothing more than luck and optimisms saw out the first half. 3 more FOR US in the second half please.

You have missed the song “Living on the edge”. But we lead 2-0, so all in all, despite really living on the edge and Palace perhaps deserving another result, we look to be big favorites to win this after a nice little break to calm hot overheating heads

Excellent for 40 mins where we didn’t let Palace breathe. Could and should have been more than two up – Fab in particular should have placed it by side footing rather than going for more power.
Nice goal from VVD on the corner, and then a second assist by Andy for the Ox to get the second.
Last 5 mins, we did a few sloppy/lazy passes and fortunately for us, Ali was in good form to spare the lad’s blushes. When we’re going through a little sloppy spell, I just wish we could eat up a bit of time – for example, Ali to pick up the ball for 10 secs rather than recycle it within 2 seconds.
Palace just looking to pounce on our mistakes, so we should shut up shop for the second, and force then to open up more at the back if they want to get something out of the game. Don’t give them a free pass. Don’t give them the sloppy two goals in the space of three crazy minutes.
