Best thing about that half is it is only 1-0. Palace were much the better side.
If we want something from this we will have to improve, all over the park.
Apart from Alisson, who is having a great game and is responsible for it only being 1-0.

If Slot doesn’t do it, I hope Alisson slaps each of his teammates in the locker room. He’s been the only one who’s had his head in the game. Other guys are just playing pokemon.

I don’t think we’ve been as terrible as some are making out. I can think of a few dire performances like this over the past 6-8 months tbh.
It’s the classic combo: unsure in defence, poorly positioned when they counter, lacking that killer pass in midfield (which should really be Wirtz’s job, but Gravenberch seems to be the only one trying it), and a few key players looking just a tad leggy and giving it away a lot.
I think with some tweaks we can still win this game. But we won’t be so lucky second half if Palace get so many chances.
So:
I’d take off Macca and Ibou and bring on Cody and Chiesa. Play Grav at the back and Dom and Flo as the midfield 2. Up front Chiesa doing the movement running for Alex and Mo and Cody providing width. Then if its still 0-1 at 60 mins replace Alex with Rio and move Cody more centrally. Jones and or Frimpong could also come on for fresh legs.
Alisson 10/10. Everyone else 0/10. If i were Slot, I’d be throwing stuff at them
