Would consider Szobo at RB to allow Wirtz go to the middle and bring on Gakpo

Anyway, if Crystal Palace had better strikers, this would look a lot worse and Palace would have had more points.
But it’s just 1-0 becuse they cannot afford to buy the cream.
Their team is very strong though. Fait play to them. We are shabby and awful, but opponent must be given a lot of respect for how they dominate us too.
On the other hand, we can still win with a lot of luck due to quality of individuals. So hope is not at all gone.
Would it be pathetic to win this on basis of play ? Probably, but who cares. We can at least hope for a point and I do.
He’s been well off the pace all season. REALLY wish that Guehi deal hadn’t collapsed, he’d be starting for us no doubt.
Reckon we’ll look to sign 3-4 CBs next summer. Virg will enter the last year of his contract, Gomez I think as well. Leoni won’t be rushed back. If we sign Guehi in Jan then maybe we’ll only sign 2-3 CBs next summer, but it’s a massive position of need for us at the minute.

The biggest problem is we continue to look completely uninterested, not sure if Arne got his team wrong or not, he just needs to motivate his players so they start fast and keep on top. Every game is so predictable and we’ve gotten away with more than enough with unlikely last min heroes or brainfart moments to give us a gift to save the day. Every single game is a struggle, home, away, European, cup game, every single one.
Yeah…that is what I noticed as well. Kerkez was alone and couldn’t run to the byline. And I mentioned before Wirtz is not a natural LW which means he drifts inside leaving Kerkez to deal with 2 people at one go…
Bradley on the other hand is just poor so far…

Gomez, Robbo and Jones at the very least should be introduced. If he made all five in one go nobody could complain.

Probably. But a draw is still possible with a bit of luck. We have better individual players than they have, so moments of flash from us can result in goals despite being terribly unfair on Palace.
I stil hope for points and don’t think it’s impossible, even after having watched this horror show. After all, the best team effort doesn’t always win.
No, it won’t. We can’t be any worse in the second half and I’m confident that we’ll do enough to at least get a draw.
What is wrong with Macca as well. We are not even 10 league games into the season and he looks shattered.
