(Not) looking forward to the pre match press conference tomorrow. International journalists will eat Slot alive. Also wondering which player will join Slot.
We need at least one point from this match. Less would mean we have to play the two additional games in the playoff stage.
Usually, when visiting another country, you appear for press interviews with a player of that nationality, or at least one who speaks that language. So… will it be with Chiesa? Hard to imagine, but it would be the right approach for the local journalists. However, I’m betting on Alisson.
With 3 matches left you’d assume another win or at most 4 points will at least see you into the playoffs. After the horror of PSV I can’t see us getting the top 8 with Marseille and Qarabag to come.
A point away wouldn’t be the worst result. If we have any ideas of finishing top 8 we have to win this.
Our team during Klopp years or even last season would have nailed down Inter with moderate difficulty at worst. Our high-pace, aggressive pressing game back then was a kryptonite against most Italian sides.
The fact that we have to worry about this match shows how far we have fallen.
I’m not sure the manager / head coach will chose the right team and tactics to win this, so I thought I’d give him a little guidance. This would be the best line up Arne.
Allison
Bradley Konate Van Dyjk Kerkez
Gravenberch Jones
Szoboszlai Wirtz Ekitike
Isak
I’m saving Gomez for the weekend when Bradley will be suspended for getting five yellows.
I don know why it came out like that but I couldn’t be arsed changing it.
For those brave enough it’s here at 19:45 CET (18:45 GMT) tonight:
I don’t think I will be watching then. It’s going to be carnage. Do you think there’s any chance that they could get held up at John Lennon and dodge it?
