with lcfc being so deep, they are both playing pretty high…fab holding the line
I think 3
Keep probing, the goal will come. Keita for Ox first change around 60 minutes or even before.
Leicester midfield may tire late on, although wisely, Rogers has kept Maddison, Vardy, and Iheanacho upfield without much pressing duties to be fresh for 90 minutes to counter.
Salah been on good run of penalties, so a poor kick was due. Shame about the follow up.
The right hand side has been a bit out of sync. Trent has been uneven. Not bad, just uneven. The missed penalty seems in Mo’s head now.
Can’t see Leicester keeping up 2nd half. Their fitness levels will decline whilst ours should be more than enough to wear them down.
0-0 away at HT is fine. They’ve not created anything of note. We’ve looked pretty solid at the back.
For me Fab has been too slow in thought and giving a few balls away and not reacted to their threats well enough
HT 0-0:
One of the poorest half-times from our lads this season in my opinion. This Leicester team has been there for the taking all 45 minutes long. They don’t know how to defend even if their lives depended on it, and yet, our forwards couldn’t find the back of the net because they are totally off their game.
Defence is ok, midfield is ok (although Ox plays the invisible man tonight more often than not), our full-backs offer their usual threat from crosses, but our forwards really need to get their act together. They have been awful so far.
So, if Klopp can drum some sense into them, or make a change (I’ve the feeling that Bobby could come in handily in order to add a bit of brain into our forward line), we really can win this game.
But if we go on like that, Leicester are very capable of catching us on a break.
So, let’s hope that we can score on one of our chances to come, and then finish off the game. Fingers crossed!
I expect they will wear down even more in the second chance. We should get more easier chances as the game goes on.
Give it 10 minutes but I’d be looking at sticking Naby on for Ox and Bobby for Jota.
In fairness the only reason we have gone in level us because Schmeichel has been having a good game. I suspect his luck will run out.
Loved the Joëly high jinx in their box. Salah will make up for that miss
I always worry when Mo steps up to take a pen. Fabinho all day long for me.
i think he has been ok to be fair. more disappointed by hendo and ox… jus not putting their stamp on the game and hendo thinking he is the 2nd coming of zindane
Matip been imperious. But that is not revelatory or any breaking news. Joel doing Joel things.
Naby has to come on at some point.
Milly if he was on
need to attack more thru the middle as they are pretty open
Triple captain.
This is going swell.
sooner the better for me and have hendo and fab hold…OX is offering absolutely nothing
Must be me then, i thought he has snuffed out loads of their chances, reacted quickly when they’ve had the ball and won it back to start counters. He’s also won a few headers which almost always end up going to our players instead of just anywhere. I’ll keep a closer eye on him this half tho in case i’m missing something
A midfield running into the box would come in very handy.
