Think of it the other way. This is real leadership shit to be that important yet still b the guy to lead out this younger group who will likely need some leadership to get them through. It’s precisely because of this sort of attitude why we’ve been so succesful.

Usually I wouldn’t care too much about what we do in the Coca-Cola / Milk / Carabao League Cup, but we’ve got a rather large (by our standards) squad with players that need minutes to get in game shape. It’ll be good to keep a nice run going so that some of the younger players can get actual match experience. A confidence-boosting goal or 2 for Minamino wouldn’t hurt either. And we get a first look at our new left-back too. Will be catching this on the telly later!
