Inconsistency from the officials again. Yesterday, Arsenal were halted during a promising attack because two Fulham players collided, resulting in a head injury. Today, a different decision.

The head injury ‘rule’ was to intervene quickly when a player was unconscious and at risk of swallowing their tongue. If you’re clutching your head (and writhing) you’re not unconscious…
Neutral fan
Stopping play for a head injury is about player safety, not preventing the other side having an advantage. If that had been any other type of injury we would just be talking about it being bad luck for Liverpool.
