I said before the game that the performance was almost as important as the result.
After that, I have no idea what we’re trying to do. The only clear pattern is Kerkez tucking inside while Gakpo and Salah hold the width out wide, and even that doesn’t play to their strengths.
That’s what’s worrying me. What’s the clear style of play? Is there any structure to our press? Are there clear, definable attacking patterns that create chances besides moments of brilliance from players?

If that is the case then those players need to have a rethink, as much as losing Diogo is heartbreaking, he certainly wouldn’t want them to mourn his death in this way, he would want them to show the fight and the spirit he had when he was on the pitch.

There just seemed to be a lack of urgency for me. I font mind patient build up play but you really need to be on point with that. We are not. Its kinda messy and without drive.

Good analysis, couldn’t agree more.
There isn’t a plan, not one that’s working anyway. Going to 424, or more like 415, when you’re 1-0 down with 35+ minutes to go isn’t a reasonable response.

Well firstly he was signed as right back he couldn’t even get on there when Bradley came off secondly he gets pushed wide right when coming on.

The odd thing is we bought two ball carrying types for fullbacks that both like to overlap and yet we’re either not asking them to play that way or the team is struggling to adapt to that.
Add in the fact we bought one of the best attacking mids in the world but then don’t seem to be able to get him into the starting 11 and you wonder what the plan was.
The decision to sell Diaz looks odder by the day. The decision not to replace him looks like a huge oversight, as does not getting Guehi over the line.
But ultimately the players are better than what we’re showing. That’s on Slot to fix.

I dont like this post it leaves a sour taste preaching how people should react making out you know what somebody would say is poor.
Nope, if you also look at many posts I blame no help for trent from Mo with an overlapping full back, and most cases today our fullbacks were picking up the wide player and then it is the inside runner that needs to be picked up by a midfielder or CB.
But don’t let facts change the crap you say, also, never any reply when proved wrong with stats regarding Mo and Diaz, but that is expected!
Stop it rewriting history.
As for the stats when you said Diaz carried us over the line and the had 4 goals each .
Yeah. We played more than well enough to have won that with the chances we created and how bad the defending was on theirs, but the performance was just not good enough and we look to be getting further away from where we need to be

Seriously you ban someone for saying peter pan will be on in a moment, i found it funny but also thought it was something that you’d take offence at , you get rid of them and the reason is "too combative " and then call them a little twat.
