Excellent first half. Trent so good, both in attack and defensively as well. Mane unplayable. Fabinho is so important for this midfield. Fab and Hendo key to us dominating this half. Kudos to Anfield, so vocal and it definitely creates some pressure on the ref and the players.
Atletico will play all their antics in the second half. Mane might be the first one subbed to not let us fall in their trap.

Couldnāt stop laughing at that card. The ref taking no shit. When Tsimi challenged Trippier early on, the ref then called him all the way back from far to have a word to him. That shouldāve showed everyone the ref is in mean mode.
Targetted Mane again, They know they can keep doing little fouls on him to wind him up. We need to just clam everyone and not react to any rolling around by AM.

I think you are correct, but I am open to the other interpretation as well. The ref may have thought it was āorangeā, and then when he refused to get back, he may have just sent him off, thinking that these tactics they display shouldnāt be allowed to work.
Regardless we are 2-0 up with 11 vs 10 so we can afford to speculate

Iām hoping we see this out and donāt get anyone injured. I think the ref didnāt act soon enough and ManĆ© in particular was being kicked off the park. Iād be tempted to sub him at half time rather risk any injuries.
Anyway, I canāt complain at 2:0 at half time. If we can take the 3 points it leaves us with the luxury of two free games.

As much as Iām worried that Athletico will try to suckered Mane in for another yellow, id be surprised if Klopp takes him off at HT.
Hes been unplayable. He also looked pretty calm the last 15 mins. Heās also seen first hand how the ref is going about his business.
