Who? Limie?

I like Limie when he’s walking his dog and not ruining our lives.

Hand it over!

Slot didn’t seem impressed with the year.

Pre-match vibe…

It’s the local market. You can’t watch the Indy 500 in Indianapolis, live, unless the race is sold out. It’s blacked out. The Indy 500 race is sold out. So… Indy fans can watch the race on TV here. There is lots of pre-race broadcasting on NBC. The affect on Liverpool is that the first half has been bumped from the schedule and they will only show the second half of the Liverpool game on NBC in Indianapolis.

Peacock to the rescue for the full game, so I can stream it just fine.

However, I don’t like Peacock with the slight delay, as well as the goons who are commentating, but beggars can’t be choosers!

Oddly nervous for this one.

Would have been nice to see Kelleher start, if he’s leaving this summer. He could have been subbed later to a standing ovation.

They have bumped the game for pre race coverage of a race they are not even showing? US tv execs really are morons.

I’m sure the World Cup will go swimmingly

You really don’t know how lucky you are. When i first came to Berlin there were a couple of Irish pubs that would sometimes show our matches and there was no way of knowing where it was going to be on. We’d traipse around hoping to get lucky and around half the time the picture would freeze halfway through the first half. It was a total lottery.

Agreed! No first half here in Indy… apart from streaming on Peacock.

Fortunately that’s my lifeline.

Looking forward to the side panel with the Geico jingle drowning out YNWA followed by Drury telling us how awe inspiring the moment was that we missed

True, I realize I’m lucky. I can watch every Liverpool game here, so I’m happy about that.

Going back to the World Cup, Italia 1990, I remember traipsing around Boston looking for a place to watch the semi final. I found an Irish bar, packed out, a brilliant experience (apart from the result!)

We always go to the lake house for Memorial Day. Just far enough north (in Rochester which is north of Peru and Mexico, but south of Plymouth for our friends back in England) to be out of the race blackout zone.

Of course since I stream everything watching on peacock as it will have the same delay but show ynwa at the start.

I wonder if Lulu is ready too, or if @RedWhippet has her locked up somewhere…

Yep, I’m starting on peacock and will switch to NBC by which time @GermanRed would have told us the final score

2002 we were in a battle with Roma and Barca in the second group stage of the CL. We’d been badly beaten at home by Barca, and had to go there in our second last match and avoid a loss to give us a chance of still having it in our hands for our last game. At the time we had only one game a match day televized on ESPN2, but at the time it was typically us or Utd. Thei game was largely irrelevant so it seemed obvious the big wigs would pick a Liverpool vs Barca game for the time slot, right?

They showed a replay of an NCAA basketball game from the day before instead.

Yes, but how good was that VCU vs Iona game!
