The most positive aspect of this is simply that he’s available again. Playing the full 90 minutes in midweek and then being available for the next game is a huge milestone for someone whose been on such a restricted schedule.

Don’t really want Steve Copper’s side to get a thrashing, so a 1-0 would be good enough from my point of view. Got a feeling it is going to be more like 6 or 7 goal feast though.

That’s the match on the telly. I’ve just spent the afternoon incinerating weeds with a heat ray gun so I’m up for this.
In the late 70s this fixture was a best of Europe affair. There were some superb matches as well. I can remember an evening match where we came back from 2:3 down to win it in injury time 4:3. Might have been Paisley’s last season.
Anyway, let’s see which Liverpool turns up today.
