Pre Match - Liverpool V Tottenham Hotspur - 27th April 2025 (Home) - 4:30pm - PL Match day 34

Highly confient that we can celebrate the title on Sunay. Our team will get a draw, at least. Tottenham isn’t very strong and our players have a great incentive to win or at least draw.
When it comes to Tottenham, while Glimt has one of their most important players out for the first match, I am not so sure they will advance to the finals in the Europa League either (imo 50-50, no better).

Prediction for the game: 3-1 to us.

A draw might do…

But I want a fucking win.
With style.
With goals.
With Anfield going pure wild.

I want us to stay winning and widen the points gap to second until they have faded in our rear view mirrors.

We’ve got this, haven’t we? :flexed_biceps::smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

Probably won’t risk Son.

Lads, it’s Spurs.

If all works out well, a Liverpool fan gets to experience, as a Manager, what it’s like to win the league at Anfield.

“With top-flight safety assured”… somebody is having a cheeky dig… love it!

Yeah. You start your best players.

Defo. Start who has got us here. Give others minutes if we are winning!

Full backs are going to be interesting.
Trent or Con?
Robbo or Kostas?

Otherwise pretty straightforward.

I think Trent and Tsimi.

The presser main points:

  • They watched the Arsenal vs Palace game together. Impressed with them as a team. He didn’t expect a draw.
  • One point to win Premier League: Everyone looking forward to it but job still to be done.
  • How prepared for the emotion: Game needs to be played first. Concentrating on preparation for Spurs.
  • Slot not thought about being a PL winning manager yet. Hopes players will be available. Not underestimating Spurs as he knows how Leicester fought until the last.
  • Club has expectation to win trophies but not the first thing he thought about when he started job.
  • Is PL not as strong: People are entitled to their opinion.
  • Slots experience is that it is exciting as so many teams have been up for a top 4 position. No games have been easy. Wining by a big margin was easier in the past.
  • Will Slot enjoy the game: Focus on game during duration of the match. Enjoyment comes after the final whistle.
  • Conor Bradley: He is getting closer to managing 90 minutes. Taking care because of injuries.
  • Trent is the only reason that Bradley hasn’t played more regularly. Bradley needs to take next step.
  • Nunez clause payment story: Don’t believe what you read in the press. No way Hughes would tell Slot not to play a player because of financial reasons. (Slot a bit cagey)
  • Gomez coming closer to training with team. May be ready for the last couple of games.

(I’ll stick the BBC summary on later - I really struggled to hear some of the questions)

That should be taught in schools.
