I just noticed your change of avatar. Now don’t take this the wrong way, @Flobs, but I have a sudden urge to slap your face.
In fact there is a German word for that (because, of course there is): Backpfeifengesicht.

Long way to spell cunt.
When I saw Oliver on assistant var I wanted to jump through the internet to his phone and slap him. It just had to be him as my avatar
.
I do apologise to everyone about my avatar changes every match it’s an experiment as I haven’t had much luck with my recent LFC player ones. Perhaps I should go back to Hendo however considering where he is now that makes me uncomfortable.
They’ve had a tremendous start to the season have Brighton, but that comes to a temporary halt on Sunday, because they’ll be getting their asses whooped like there’s no tomorrow baby you feel me.
They are fantastic at the moment, yeah.
If they keep this up, they might threaten upper European places, who knows, maybe even CL places. It wouldn’t be impossible.
The good thing about their recruitment is that looking at where those players come from, they can allow to have a large first team squad, when in Europe, and still keep people happy. For a lot of them, it’s a big jump compared where they’ve been and each time they’re selected it’s an opportunity to impress, stay in, merit a move, etc. They don’t hide how they do their business.
I hope Anfield is up for this because our home form hasn’t been quite how we’d want it to be so far this season. Also, conceding quite a few.
I’m tired of the “the crowd needs the team to perform from the first second, an individual move (but more likely not), tackle or crap refereeing decision to get going”.
The season is still young, we’re approaching many games, we have a new head coach and some new players, still in all competitions and one of the best in form sides are coming now. Who knows what’s possible this season, although we know our “minimal” targets.
There are many reasons for the atmosphere to be on point even if the team struggles in the opening part.
Yeah I’m a bit perplexed at the Anfield crowds so far this season. Not sure how we can get the intimidating atmosphere back, but it’s sorely needed.
there were plenty of half and half scarves on display against City. There’s your answer.
we need to make the right choices in midfield against these. That will be key. Get it wrong and they’ll walk right through us like Atleti and Villarreal did.
I reckon Nyoni/Macca/Wirtz is probably our best combo in the middle, as evidenced by last night.
I could see maybe Grav/Macca/Wirtz, but Grav is just too inconsistent so far this season. If he’s on his game, he’s fantastic, but Nyoni feels a bit more solid if unspectacular. Wirtz/Barcola/Rio with Isak as the tip of the spear should give us plenty of firepower up front, with Gakkers on the bench to come in as fresh legs later on. Same with Munoz on the right if rio needs to come off. Obviously Munoz’s fitness permitting.
Munoz and Barcola missing from the (open) training session. Sky are reporting Barcola is undergoing an individual recovering session.
That’s ok. If he wasn’t doing any training I’d be worried.
Munoz less so. See what Iraola says tomorrow
Doni’s first real test.
It seems that this lot score loads and don’t concede many goals. This is going to be a real test even without considering the refs. I suppose we have the advoof playing at home.
The great news is that Brighton play away from home today in the Conference League. That is a huge advantage for us.
It’s more the days advantage that we played on Tuesday. They play Jablonec, no doubt they will rotate and still have a strong team.

I have a good feeling about this match. I don’t know why. I think, with some pacey players coming into form, we should be able to give them the runaround at home.
Munoz still can’t train. So much for some people claiming he was faking a knee injury and ‘histrionics’ against Brentford. FFS
haha @Rambler
