Pre Match | Liverpool vs Brighton | PL Matchday 10 | Saturday October 30th 15:00h | Anfield

HT 2-1:

Really entertaining game between two good sides. We scored two good goals from wonderful moves, but Brighton had their moments too and could easily have taken the lead on one or two occasions, hadn’t Alli decided that he’s a word-clas goalie.

At 2-0, we seemed to hold a grip on the game. Sadio’s 3-0 was seemingly the end of all doubts before it was disallowed. It was with the hand indeed, but where should he have put his arm in this situation? It should have stood imo. Bobby also missed a sitter in front of goal. Pity.

Now that Brighton have scored with this unlikely, stupid goal, everything is open again. Our lads need to play at 100% if they want to come out winners. One or two percent less, and Brighton will come back, because they have the quality to do so.

But IF our players play on their potential without any lapse of concentration, they should still win this. Fingers crossed that they will be able to do that! :crossed_fingers:t2:

Good performance but frustrating. We have had so many breaks where with a better last pass, we would be in on goal and the game would be out of sight. Salah is the most guilty of picking the wrong pass but he is playing well other than this. At the back, Konate has been caught out of position a few times. We don’t have much protection in the midfield now that Keita is off. Feel like we need another goal. With City losing and a man down against Palace, this might be a big opportunity to put some early daylight between us and them.

Agreed. A Kante style CDM … what Naby would be if he didn’t turn into a glass cannon at some point.

In more ways than one, apparently.

At 10 minutes, when Konate lost the ball, it was 3 v 3 at he back. Keita seemed to be limping back, so seems he was not fully fit before he went off

Big second half, have to take advantage of what is potentially happening at the Etihad. Not watching but sounds like Brighton have played relatively well and created a number of chances. Let’s hope Mo keeps his streak going as well.

Fingers firmly crossed for Palace to pull that off again !

The sun won’t be there anymore during the second half. The sunset will have taken place until then.

Sigh. This season is supposed to define Naby Keita. But if he is that brittle, what’s the point?

Salah put it on the plate for Bobby. That should have been burried in the corner.

It seems that we are loosing the midfield late on first half. It will be a nervous second half. We need to score the next one.

It defines him as very talented but injury prone.

Which we all kinda knew already.

Well, if he gets past the legal issues, he will get a lot of suitors…

F**kin’ell. Ah well, would still rather have our crowd for the second half than theirs. Get as many variables in your favor as possible and you have a good shot.

Was he like that in RBL???

Was it the Pogba injury or a hammy ?

very deep rose-tinted glasses, but I think Mane’s second goal should have counted, because it didn’t look absolutely clear that it went in off his hand

Always seems we have some bad luck against us, or we receive a poor tackle and we go from dominating totally to a shambles. Frustrating because at 2-0 we were in complete control, Mane’s goal is disallowed and we just forget how to defend.

I’m still hopefull. But I can see another CM come in next year to take his spot. Or Tyler Morton could be a great home made option …if he picks he up MMA training in the coming year :upside_down_face:

Mane’s head is very effective today. At both ends.
