Has that not something to do with that outdated rule that there is no live TV for 3 O’clock matches? We had that rule here too but was changed 15 years ago.

Mods! Rude content alert :flushed:

Yup… I had hope it would go after Covid but here it remains.

Can’t be for long I wouldn’t think, I find it more baffling that it stops German and Spanish games being shown.

My Dutch cabel provider Ziggo shows the match, the problem with that is that you get some Dutch sheepish commentator tho does not know if there is sand or air in a ball.

Guess I am forced to go to my local, an Irish pub who have Sky Ireland who show the match too, it has nothing to do with the fact that they serve a proper pint of Guinness. :innocent:

Incredible to think that this was Brighton less than 25 years ago. Now challenging for a place in the Champions league.

" Saturday May 3rd 1997 was the day of the most important game in Brighton & Hove Albion, bar none. Steve Gritt took his Albion side to Edgar Street to face Hereford United, knowing that defeat would result in relegation out of the Football League and in all probability, extinction.

The Seagulls had been bottom of Division Three for six months. When Gritt took over in December 1996, they were 11 points adrift and in a hopeless position.

A 1-0 win over Doncaster Rovers the previous week in the final game at the Goldstone Ground had lifted the Albion off the foot of the table, allowing them to leapfrog Hereford in the process.

Now they needed a point in the final game of the campaign against the side who had just replaced them at the bottom of the pile to guarantee safety by sending their hosts down."

Think this will be a pretty much unchanged side - maybe Tsimikas in for Robertson and Matip and Mane to return.

It will be a lovely mid-morning brunch at the Pub, with perfect clarity TV.

You can still make it here, as I always advised @Alright_Now :grinning:

This game will not be easy today. Brighton are no mugs and will be far better organised defensively, than Utd. No complacency, everyone focus on their job and just get the three points.

I’d like to see Konate start today and then also next weekend, to counter the pace and power of Antonio, with Matip playing against Atletico.
But think Matip may well start today after only playing 45 against Preston.

Probably the only other question is whether Mane returns - I think he will.

Hopefully Newcastle somehow get a draw and come 5pm we’re top of the League :crossed_fingers:

I wonder if Bonesaw has got the Al Mukhabarat working on ways to scupper the opposition’s chances yet ?

The 3 big decisions for Klopp, Konate or Matip, Keita or Ox and Jota or Mane/Bobby.

Jurgen Klopp on Adam Lallana

Klopp: “Adam is one of the founding fathers of the success this current Liverpool side has enjoyed in recent seasons and I personally will forever be grateful for what he did when with us. It looks like now he does something similar for Brighton that he did for us.”

With Fab unlikely to be able to start, it’ll probably be a midfield trio of Hendo, Naby and Curtis.

Our next fixtures are Weds (Athletico ) and Sunday (West ham away).

Expect to see our CBs change about a bit. Suspect that if Konate starts today it’ll be Matip on Weds. That said Klopp does like getting rhythm and winning today with a pairing of Konate and Virgil going into Weds would be ideal. Beat AM and we are through to the knockouts with two games to spare. That’s what I wanna see.

Mane surely starts today too after sitting out against United and PNE.

I find most streams are poor quality, okay if no other option.

It should be interesting, especially with Madrid on Wednesday. At a guess, I suspect we’ll see Konate, Ox and Bobby today, with the others on Wednesday.

2 out of 3 ain’t bad  Morton on the bench, good stuff
