I don’t really buy biased refs… certainly incompetent ones running around though.
This season, the half inches, var, and luck have not broken our way. At the root of that. I do think our mentality cracked just before Covid when it became clear we had the title and then collapse to athletico in the champions league sort of in the same week. Since then we’ve been a good team but that absolute iron will to never ever flinch or let up for a second just isn’t quite there. Hard to blame anyone for that as the lads had that focus for almost 2 solid calendar years and took home the two biggest trophies, but it makes this year feel a mucky struggle by comparison.
