Because it’s true. The problem is that this game comes in the middle of a run of poor form. But this is just what games against Burnley are like. It was like this last year too.
They are alehouse, cheating cunts. And it’s always, always, always a battle.

Ox needs to get more involved or switched with either Salah or Taku

And that’s why we need to dribble more at them. The more pace we inject into it, the more we would beat the first man, or win a free kick, rather than pass wide to swing it in, when Burnley have a back four of 6 footers plus a good shot stopper.
Ox needs to take a long hard look at himself in the mirror. His performances have been crap for a long time.
No swagger, no self-belief, not showing for the ball… He needs to dump Perrie me thinks!
Is this the 21st century version of seeing the future through tea leaves?

Ian Doyle’s Half Time Player Ratings
Alisson Becker 6
Dropped one cross under pressure from Wood but saved Barnes follow-up.
Trent Alexander-Arnold 5
A couple of efforts on goal and crosses in the box, but end product not quite there before break.
Joel Matip 7
One good interception before break and a lot of wondering when the assistant referee was going to put his flag up.
Fabinho 6
Caught by a late one from Barnes and then got caught up in a ruck with the Burnley clodhopper on the half-time whistle. Booked.
Andy Robertson 6
Plenty of work at both ends of the pitch during the first half.
Gini Wijnaldum 5
A lot of work and some good challenges but unable to find real spark first half.
Thiago Alcantara 6
Caught by a late one from Barnes but passing under pressure was decent before break.
Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain 4
Had one shot but otherwise massively off the pace and barely involved.
Xherdan Shaqiri 6
A couple of clever passes and one fine cross, but largely frustrated first half.
Sadio Mane 6
Took the fight to the Burnley defence but wasn’t able to fashion many openings.
Divock Origi 5
But what are the options, especially right now? Least depth of any position in the squad, to my mind.

isnt it fucked up that most of us expected Origi to miss than score on a one on one with the keeper

Something wrong with the shape of TAA’s foot I think.

I’d have bet my house Origi would have scored that chance against top teams in the Europe.!
