Pre Match | Liverpool vs Everton | PL Matchday 25 | Saturday February 20th 17:30h | Anfield

We still have enough quality to turn this around. Remember last week’s goal, Firmino to Mo. One of those would do in the first 10’ of the second half.

Naby runs at there defence with the ball .
Thiago doesn’t .
Just a change in tactic .
For the splatters .
Gini has been holding

I do get the feeling that 1 goal for us will change things. However teams have been very good at restricted us, especially at home.

For a team so world class it fucks me off that we have no plan B.

(Other than Origi subbed on, on 70mins)

I don’t know. I’ve not ideas just change and hope lol.

Not sure why we say our full backs are world class when neither can dribble past a defender
OR
Even get to the by-line to turn the opposing defence to face their own goal and cut the ball back into the box…?

This is a legitimate piece of. The flat out refusal to adjust.

The challenge with having such a conversation is that in this moment anyone suggests The Boss could be doing a little bit better it becomes framed as an attack or somehow not appreciative of everything he has accomplished for us. When that’s not the case at all.

hope Henderson’s injury is not serious to keep him out for a long time

with our luck this season, I fear Hendo will be out for a while…

Hope it is just a damn strain!

Exactly this. We’re trying to overthink the defence too much. Keep it simple while we’re in defensive crises. Nat keeps things simple but effective.

In this wind, don’t need to pass fancy at the back.

Groin strain like that will be 2 to 3 weeks usually. A tear would be much longer.

Keita comes in and looks promising (at best) for 2 or 3 games then is out for 3 months.

That’s his Liverpool legacy. Up to him to change it but his body can’t keep up.

Kabak beat Thiago to the yellow.

Create chances please!

Origi on at 70, go long, hope for the best :yum:

It’s not the moving the ball that is the issue it is the lack of movement from the players, we dont see any quick pass and move situations its all give it then stand and watch. You can’t move the ball quickly without movement. Also Leipzig had a high line the long ball was on whereas Everton are deeper so no long passes, plus now Hendos off no one at the back to hit the longer pass. I don’t know the answer, but I know we miss, Milly’s and Hendo’s movement in midfield.

Been saying this for months. You have 2 defenders injured but the team Klopp picks is like having 2 defenders and also 2 midfielders injured. Absolutely not necessary when you have Nat and Rhy on the bench. I am 100% sure we would not have lost even half of the dropped points had we just started Nat and Rhy and played Fab and Hendo in midfield. Why Klopp can’t see this is beyond me…

No way can we progress in this match with just 1 midfielder, Jones, and even he needs to wake up on occasion.
Movement of Thiago and Gini when we are in possession is absolutely pityfull!

I am worried though. It seems Klopp and No. 2 are unable to see the weakness in the midfield and how it is adversely affecting us.

Look better already.

Shame this lot seem to need a rollicking at half time to be up for it
