Pre-match: Liverpool vs Everton | Saturday 21st October, 12:30

Bar new injuries I can see us lining up as follows:

BECKER

TAA
MATIP
VvD
TSIMIKAS

SZOBO
MAC ALLISTER
GRAVENBERCH

SALAH
NUNEZ
JOTA

Question mark over Macca and Nunez due to their intercontinental travelling, but Endo will travel from Japan and Gapko is (probably still) injured.

Hopefully this will be enough to smash Everton and we can start a new run of victories. 10/12 points from the next four league games looks achievable and would keep us at the very top of the table before we play Man City🤞

Lad, it’s Everton.

I’ve still not recovered from SpursGate.

It’s a worry isn’t it, those short arms giving him an excuse for taking ages to pick the ball out of the back of the net. :rage:
I am sure that’s why the ref gave nothing when hen went feet first into VVD thinking ‘well with such short arms what else could he have done to try and get the ball’.
It’s blatant cheating!!! :rage:

Early kick off, again, is frustrating. Everton have found a bit better form lately, and they usually up their game against us too. They also get stuck in, and then some, often dishing injuries out with barely any objection from the officials.

We have injuries and an unjust suspension, plus several first teamers flying back long distance to make the early kick off.

There are a long list of ‘excuses’ already built in, and a team with less backbone would happily use that to justify a flat day. As such, this is a test of the newly emerging mentality monsters.

Win the game, collect the points, move on.

Do that, and we are up and running again.

3-1 to the mighty reds.

We should be able to beat the blue shite at home with a second team tbqh

I’m sure that Jürgen and his team will know the personnel, formation and tactics to see us through this game. COYR YNWA :+1:

Well if he has a choice, then does it matter we’d thrash them with the under 5s.

Took me a minute that one, very good. Nice coffee too.

Trent played some 6 in preseason (to mixed results) but maybe it’s an option for this one with MacAllister and Endo having to travel more over the international break. I’d have Nunez and Diaz play only about 45 mins each.

Alisson
Gomez Konate Van Dijk Tsimikas
Szoboszlai TAA Gravenberch
Salah Jota Diaz

Craig Pawson - Referee

David Coote - VAR

Non of us will need reminding of this, but here goes anyway - Pawson was the referee that awarded a penalty against Trent, when he was already on the floor and DCL kneed him in the back of the head, and tumbled over him to win said penalty
Coote was on VAR duty when TRex assaulted VVD…!!!

Roll on Saturday eh :0)

is not the worst referee there is, they all make mistakes just like players do. The problem is the bias against Liverpool that a lot of them have. IMO Pawson is not one of them.

Coote on the other hand … :face_vomiting:

Do we even have 11 fit and semi rested players … :see_no_evil:

I think Klopp is going to do something wild. Something like playing Doak or Clark or something like that.

He’ll want to make a point about the unfairness of continually giving us this fixture. And he has a history of massively disrespecting Everton in this fixture.

One more game without a win and one more injury would be the end for challenging for title imo.

Over what period?

If our only hiccup in our next 5 league games is the one at City then get back to winning ways against Fulham the week after, losing Gomez or Jones for a month then it’d be anything but the end.

I strongly disagree.

He very much gave Everton tons of respect when he let Origi and Shaqiri run riot over them.

After all the shite we have been dealt this season we are only 3 points behind the number 1 and 2. This could be a strange season.

Doak might play but there are plenty of options available and with 5 subs it’s possible he will rotate the strikers.

Maca was poor due to that travel and the oxygen so I doubt he will be used but the others should be fine and Gakpo was pencilled to return.

Three points and a dominant display will be perfect. But I will take three points in a gritty display, if it means digging deep in light of yet another early kick off, and all the travel and disruption for many of our players.

Oh, and no injuries. It’s the bitters.
