Well that was a frustrating watch. Not so much us as Sky Deutschland. Premium sports streamers really do make a good case for piracy.

Hopefully we see an improvement in the second half. I think we will. The first half had some issues there, with passing, gaps and a bit too much sluggishness overall.
To my eye the balance is off with that midfield and we do not look solid, and generally havenāt done for a while.
Kicking into the Kop will help. I think we will up it and get the win.

Not making much use of Munoz or Barcola
Weāre winning this but it would really help our progress if we do before we make any changes.
A largely forgettable half. The midfield is not quite set up right. Would prefer Mac or Trey to Grav as I think we need players that can be more decisive in passing. Alternatively Dom could make way for some like Trey or Mac so we are not overly reliant on Grav.
Or we just crap today.
Fingers crossed we get a bit more cohesive and play with a bit more urgency in the 2nd half.
Elliott or Jones would have got 3 games max and if they donāt score or assist they get benched, hardly will get a start. This guy has been starting game after game from last season and canāt hit a barn door. His passes are terrible, shooting poor and will be happy if Bayern gets him as part of Olisse deal.

We either need to drop Wirtz and play a midfield 3 or we need to drop grav and Dom and play a proper midfield two behind him that will stay in position and feed him the ball regularly.
We wonāt get much better until we do, even if some things improve.
Szobo and Wirtz were the biggest problems that half.
Oneās a headless chicken and the other is just far too careless with the ball.
Ok will check again in an hour hope we winning by then
I like wirtz but hes had a mare today.
Im just not sure hes gonna be a sucess here. Hes had an underwhelming time here so far.

Changes to be made in the second half?
Jones had 8 years and couldnāt get into the team ahead of Dom, Grav, Mac, Milner, Hendo, Fabinho, Gini or Keita, all of whom Iām led to believe by people on here were crap so what does that say about him?
Harvey was a great sub against tiring legs, but letās not pretend like heād be some sort of game changer in this scenario. This was never his level.

I suspect that Iraola was trying something new today. Either it isnāt effective or the players donāt understand what they are meant to be doing. Hopefully, the half time chat will help.

Ali releases the ball to the defence. They pass around a bit. Only Grav is in midfield at this build up stage, with Dom going wide right in a sandwich between Munoz and Araujo. Ball gets to Grav surrounded by four Fulham players.
Hiopefully some positional instruction changes at half time.
