Keep the same starting back four. Kerkez needs to tune in a bit, but he will be ok.
Only area for consiseration is the wings. Hopefully Barcola is fit. Maybe Gakpo on left and Munoz on right if Bradley needs a bit of time to get up to speed.
On Kerkez he was at fault for that goal, at least he didn’t let it affect him and got better as the game went on.
Just needs to learn from his mistakes.
Kerkez got caught between 2 minds and was a split second too late stepping out and by the time he tried to recover it was too late, their midfielder who waltz through our midfield and is allowed all the time to find Llorente…that’s the unacceptable part in the goal.
Same team with Munoz in for Barcola (no chances taken) and Tsimi (who did very well in his short cameo) in for Kerkez.
Szob was to blame and I was rather scathing of him defensively in the 1st 20 minutes, but he was another who knuckled down and improved drastically as the game went on
Will be in my usual Sir Kenny stand spot for this one.
Looking forward to seeing the real Isak, a more confident Florian, Munoz, and BB. Also an Anfield return for AA. Hopefully not a happy one this time.
Come on you Mighty Reds!!
Hmm, midnight kick off I think, is that right @rooster?
In Europe I’d probably stay up, but down here getting up at 6 is considered slovenly, so I might do the replay thing.
It’s just so great to be looking forward to matches again. Hopefully three points, and nothing to criticise from our players. Kerkez hat-trick please!
I guess we’ll go Munoz on the right and Gakpo on the left, if he’s fit.
If more than one are missing, then we can go Wirtz in the left half space and push Szobo to #10.
We’ll hear what Iraola says tomorrow.

I was really pleased to see that!
Can someone just man mark Llorente if Atleti ever come to Anfield again when we lose the ball? What is it about him and scoring against us!!
Correct. Midnight it is.
Weekend away with the boys so even though I will likely be still going and watching in a bar somewhere….it may not be smart to comment on TAN.
Iraola said Cody’s issue was tightness in both adductors so I doubt we will be seeing him on Saturday. You don’t take chances with adductors.
So basically tight groins? I’ve had groin pulls. They are fucking painful and debilitating!
If you tear one it’s serious.my sister is a physiotherapist and she says they are one of the slowest and most problematic injuries to heal. Basically, when you have one there’s a high risk it will recur, so care is needed.
Often headless chicken running about and risky soft backwards passing for the 1st 20 to 30 minutes. Can have good moments in the match but doesn’t like padding forward and really struggles understanding how useless the way he presses is.
Anyway why are we talking about this here? ![]()
My reply means I get signalled when someone posts on this thread

Analysis?
So is mine
.
Anything less than a convincing three points against this lot would be disappointing.
Will be in my usual spot at my local holding a pint of Guinness for this one. ![]()
