What’s the betting Fulham show up for this one cheered on by a fully competent ref and we struggle to get a draw?
Of course it would, but we can’t yet expect consistency at all levels yet. I’d take a similar result and performance than the one at Ipswich to be honest.
It will also be interesting to see how Iraola reacts to the new big-club schedule. Playing a game each three-four days is something different than what he had at Bournemouth. So, rotating the squad will be very important, especially with the kind of football he asks from his players (that’s one of the points Slot never got right btw). But Iraola seems to be a fast learner, so let’s see which team he puts on the pitch on Saturday. 
Also looking forward to see if Gomez gets a few minutes towards the end.

Yup it’s still a team and manager learning each and from each other like under Klopp we had rough and tumble in his first few months and we will get it here.
Unrealistic expectations doesn’t help anyone, we should be winning but I guess we will see.
Good thing is it’s another I can’t watch and that’s gone well this season.

I think Bramall was the guy who sent Mac off, which was later rescinded. Other than that, I work on the theory that if you don’t remember them, it’s usually a good thing.

He reffed us when we played and lost against Wolves at Molineux last season if that helps?

From what I remember it was the latter even if we equalised in the dying minutes just for Wolves to get a late winner or something like that.

Even if he doesn’t know the tactics he’ll change things at half time and like against Athletico have a good chance of rescuing the 3 points

I’m pleased by how we are doing so far. There is a clear sense in which we are improving as we go. It won’t all be linear like that, but the early signs are a positive for me. We are learning Iraola-ball and it’s good to see.
I thought Szobo and Kerkez both could have done better for the Atletico goal, but on the other hand, they have quality and they played it well, with a timed run and tidy finish. We were mentally resilient and fought back, against their 11, against the ref in many ways too, and we got the win.
Now it’s on to Fulham. Very little is routine in the Prem these days, but hopefully we apply ourselves and come away with the three points. Between Rio, Munoz and Barcola, we should have the wings covered for this one. Gakpo has made a great start to the season so if he features, great. But if we are cautious with his adductor tightness, that more than makes sense.
Hopefully we get the three points and keep the unbeaten start to the season going. I like the way the defence is shaping up with Araujo at right back. At some point I’d like to see Leoni come in to give Virg a breather, and I half wonder if Leoni and Jacquet is the future we will start to see bits of this season.
It’s nice to enjoy it all again.
