Iād like to see Grav go back to the role he played in the title winning season. Van der Vaart told him to work hard on being a defensive midfielder, as he saw a path there that Grav could stay in the team and become invaluable.
It wasnāt perfect, but as a first season as a 6 he did very well in a title winning season under Slot. Then for some reason he was encouraged to go forward more last season, as it all lost its shape.
To my mind someone needs to be more disciplined to sit. Thereās not enough instinct there to protect against danger. I think it can improve with coaching, but ultimately I expect a new midfield singing to help us close those gaps.
