I just posted that it was a horrible mistake and should have been red. I thought the ref was good prior to this but this was a terrible mistake and a clear red.

And he gave a freekick on Vidal by Fab that wasn’t and then straight after another freekick against Fab because his hand was near one of their players faces, just not consistent atm

In most leagues. He hit close to the knee, it was dangerous play and the foot much too high. It doesn’t have to be malicious intent then, it’s a red.

In the Champions League, a UEFA Competition, anything above the ankle is meant to be a red, whereas there is more leeway in the Prem. The ref got it wrong.

Not the best half of football we’ve seen lately, but in context it’s going well enough so far.
Would still like a goal to kill the tie off, but won’t be sad over a 0-0.

Decent professional half. Inter havent looked close to threatening our two goal lead. No one having a bad game atm.
Could be doing better in the final third but we’re two up so nothing to get worked up about.
Would sub Jota off because of the booking.
Tackle on thiago should have been red, late, high, studs showing.

Ref is a cunt and we are sloppy in possession. Still comfortable though.

This ref is known for wild decisions. He likes a game to flow, but eventually end’s upnhanding cards out all over the shop. Our lads need to avoid being duped into wreckless cards, esp Jota. Vidal particualry looks for the ref to dish em out.
Overall, inter have played better than i expected, but we still look better than them. They wont be able to buzz around like this for 90.
If its still 0-0 on 60 id get Hendo on, or sooner if they score.
