We now have a squad where everyone 1-22 can play, and everyone puts in a shift. Barring Thiagoâs endless injuries, no dead weight in the squad, and Iâll give him a pass since heâs ultimately a luxury at this point, and not anyone we need to rely on.
Domâs looking pretty good in that #8 shirt, isnât he?!? So nice to have multiple midfielders who can pose a goal threat again. I have a feeling that in a year or two, weâll be saying this is our best midfield since the days of Gerrard-Xavier-Masch.
Jota can look so ho-hum for about 90 minutes, and then pop up with an outrageous bit of skill like that flick that put the game away.
Not really though, just being objective. The likes of @deneb and others find it upsetting for some reason and would prefer if only positive comments were allowed. One way to run a forum I suppose.
Those of you who are delusional about these players were telling me how good Fabinho and Henderson were half way through last season. Suppose I should have learned my lesson there.
You use to be level headed but you are also getting like Dutch and struggle to praise someone that you arenât convinced by when they have a good game.
Regarding Fab, I was one of his biggest critics, however with Hendo he should have been playing Fabâs 6 position IMO
Fair point. Even the last two, the EL goal was a bit of a fluke, bet the lad doesnât hit it that sweetly all season. And Bowen chances his luck and the ball crept inâŚVVD wasnât expecting a diving header there (although as a team we were a bit all over ther place there in the defensive phase)
