If I was a gambler I’d be looking at a draw, but my heart can see the atmosphere absolutely destroying them as individuals, and a win by a couple of goals.

I really hope our players are hyped in the right way and realise how big this is to all fans.
Just want them to go out and give their all for 90 mins, blood and thunder footy, just take the game to them, fight and scrap for everything, show them what a proper footy club means.

I see some of the media frothing up over the expected intensity at Anfield - almost inciting violence so they can then get another hysterical angle.
I hope nothing unfolds between fans outside the ground. The media are sniffing more than usual so the fans better be careful. I guess security is likewise.
But a noisier than normal Anfield should see us get the right result.

I haven’t got any great expectations for what happens on the pitch today unless they collectively shit their kecks but I do want to see Wirtz and Barcola start to justify their £100+ millionprice tags. I know it’s not their fault the way the transfer market has gone but if they can’t show anything today under these circumstances then it wont look good.
We’re short in attack thanks to another shite international break so we’re relying on these 2 to start producing.
The football is somewhat secondary for me today and I can’t help thinking a lot of that has to do with the length of time it’s taken to get to this point. It’s sucked the enthusiasm out of me along with all the other shite like VAR and corrupt officiating.
Fucking give it to them both barrels for the whole 90 minutes and if we do manage to beat the cheating cunts all the better.

If we are honest, irrespective of what’s happening off the pitch, we have to be at our absolute best today if we want a win.
We definitely go in as underdogs given the respective form.
Would anyone actually be shocked if we conceded in the first 3 mins? The players need to start focused and stay focused.

I rely on examples so please post some of the more restrained examples so I can have an idea of what all the noise is about.
And no I’m not going to search myself as I find this sort of stuff demeaning. However if others are looking for it I’d like to know what they are referring to. Even why they are looking for it.

It’s got all the ingredients for a barnstormer this one. Andoni likes quick vertical football and City are a really good team.
An early goal for us will really tee this game up. If we concede first (which wouldn’t surprise me) then it’ll be a nerve shredder.
I have no doubt the City team will very much be focussed and together. Need Anfield to try and break that early, and to get that, our lads need to be first to every ball, chase hard, and be strong. Its games like this you want a Milner on the pitch. We need Macca to have one of those days we know he can.
Are they? We dont have that much room for talk given our sputtering start, but City’s results have massively flattered them. There isnt a single good performance in there among their 5 wins yet. Even the last win against Palace where they started clicking with the ball for the first time they were desperate without it and were lucky to walk away having conceded only 3. I dont see much different with City right now than where we were after 5 games last season, which is the point where things started falling apart for us.
