Pre Match. Liverpool vs Manchester City. PL Match 6. Sunday 11th October. 1630 hrs

A week away, and one of the most looked forward to fixtures in a while.
Still a few international matches to get out of the way, with hopefully no injury concerns. But it’s really time to open this…(per @GermanRed !)

I think/hope Isak will be ok.
So
Allison obviously.

Araujo, Jacquet, VVD and Kerkez

Szoboszlai and MacAllister.

Munoz, Wirtz, Barcola with Isak at nine.

They have won five out of five, and any notion of them being distracted should be ignored. Their current plight might galvanise them, we cannot be sure. Defensively, we can hurt them and as always with the quality they have we need to be at this from the very start. Big games for Jacquet and Barcola, biggest test in a Liverpool shirt yet.
Araujo will be key in this. Stay disciplined and do what he’s good at, nothing too fancy. I really hope we go at them, unsettle them and if we score first a supercharged Anfield will be crucial.

I hope the Anfield crowd intimidate and hassle them for ninety minutes, and on their way into the stadium. Nothing stupid, just show them what to expect if you play for a cheating club.

We have a great thread for discussing their guilty verdict, and though its timing is very relevant in light of this match, we should keep the verdict discussion and celebration in the other thread?

Obviously, our feelings are influenced by their behaviour and current place in the game, that makes this tasty. A win in this is important for our season as well. We have a reasonable start under Iraola, and this could be a significant marker for the rest of the season.

Fucking stoked for this, come on Redmen, take this wounded animal to the floor and inflict so many wounds it won’t get back up.

I hope we win.

No update on Isak or Gakpo yet. Isak is meant to be minor, but Cody could be out for weeks. He was pretty much hunted down by the Serbian players: 3 fouls in rapid succession, with the last doing the damage.

Gotta love the international breaks…

While we are still grappling with getting better as a team, the shites even though they are up there on points, are not exactly playing with conviction. Could be the best game to springboard on a extended winning run and knuckle down on them

First and foremost we want a great team performance, building on results already, and a positive result.

The stadium atmosphere has to reflect the findings against Man City though, make it absolutely clear through chants and vocal reactions how the rest of the PL fans feel about what they have been found guilty of. Don’t give them a minute on the ball without boos and chants, don’t have a minute of us on the ball without cheers and positive encouragement.

They play again in a little over an hour. Wonder if there’ll be any retaliation.

That said, I’m looking forward to a good match next Sunday, and hopefully our boys show a bit more understanding of what Iraola has been teaching, and we look cohesive.

Wouldn’t mind seeing Barcola on the score sheet a couple times!

I just hope that none of our other Dutch players are targeted.

The result is irrelevant. Let them leave seeing expulsion from the league as a mercy.

I hope the jeers and boos rain down on them whenever they have possession. It’s up to Anfield to set a tone for the rest of the season

Cheats! Cheats! Cheats! Cheats! 90 minutes of that.

Support for us is as important in my view.

I’m sure that Andoni and his team will know the personnel, tactics and formation to see us through this game.

Halaand asked to come off with some kind of injury whilst playing for Norway tonight, albeit it does sound like its minor/or he just couldn’t be arsed.

Expect Anfield to be hellish on Sunday. Cant wait to watch it, and hope that the atmosphere helps carry the team to a big, confidence building, win.

Aren’t you supposed to do that prior to the break?

They should be pissing their pants. Smash them

Expel them. They’re cheats.

I can only imagine the collective anger the Anfield crowd have against these cheats.Klopp and his boys were cheated of 2 league titles where 1 could have been an invincible league title in the 18/19 season. The 18/19 season could have been a league and UCL double.

I hope whenever the city players have the ball right off kick off, I hope the entire stadium boos the fuck out of the citeh and yell angry chants at them. If the owners of city is around too, boo them when the camera pans to them.

Just as long as it remains verbal anger. We don’t want dickheads turning up throwing missiles.

Yeah, no missiles required. Just some very creative and derogatory chants of Man City ,their shameful owners and their mindless fans.
