Don’t ask for half a match day thread to be muted ![]()
Need more from Barcola. He looks scared to go at Nunes
We did dominate in parts of the first half, but our 2 100mil players are not offering much. Munoz was our best attacker in the first half. Grav and Mac looked solid for most parts with the former offering an attacking outlet bringing the ball up in a few instances. But we got to do better if we want to deal them a defeat in this game.
In better news, I predicted a 5-4 for us, its tracking well.

I feel Iraola has got it wrong …
I said before Barcola should be up top.
This is not the match for Koumas. We need more of a goal scoring presence. As the match goes on Koumas is becoming invisible…
Bring on Rio on left. Put Barcola up top !!!

@mods, where’s the facepalm monkey, and how do you expect TAN members to react with these very limited options?

10/10 out of possession.
0/10 in possesion.
Yet everyone loves Cherki and he has done eff all
No offence but we had space on the right hand side with Munoz completely free. What does he do? He goes inside into a cul-de-sac where there is literally a wall of Man City players!
If that is not a lack of footballing intelligence, what is?
Read your posts!
I’m calling it 1 nil to the reds Munoz screamer !!
Kudos to Munoz, Jeremy and Grav!!!
HT 0-0:
Great start from the lads during the fifteen first minutes. They had Cheaty under the cosh. After that, things got more balanced, Cheaty’s eleven world-class players took control and then displayed all their class when it comes to taking the sting out of the game. The are evidently superior in terms of quality, but I enjoyed the commitment from our lads to keep them out.
Our problem? A lack of quality upfront. Koumas’ pressing is fantastic, and I enjoyed Barcola’s and Wirtz’s defensive actions. But in front of goal, only Munoz looked like he could find a gap at times. That’s where the lads need to improve during the second half. Our defence and midfield looks solid enough.
Let’s hope that we can improve a notch while continuing to keep them out. Then we can maybe take the three points, fingers crossed!
That’s what I mean. It’s so frustrating. He breaks the line then holds onto the ball then misses the pass that could hurt the opposition.
Our high press is much better with Koumas!
Totally agree. Koumas can’t be faulted for effort, but he’s always chasing after the ball instead of being in a position to receive it and be a threat in their box.
But you said he couldn’t pass ![]()
Yep, we have got to stop buying these expensive players.
Lewis Koumas. Son of Jason Koumas.
Yeah what this side needs is a Voronin
I asked why he won’t pass.
Then corrected my laziness. His passing is rubbish. It doesn’t help us!
