Pre Match. Liverpool vs Manchester City. PL Match 6. Sunday 11th October. 1630 hrs

They are relishing and enjoying this time in a defiant attitude that they truly believe that they are going to get let off 114 charges!

If I’m Iraola I’m starting my press conference with “I was disappointed with how we played after the red card but there should not have been a red card. We have questions and need answers on the inconsistent refereeing today and why a Manchester referee is allowed to take charge of this game. The integrity of the sport demands a full answer”.

I know he won’t but I would. I do feel like this was a really bad day for the Premier League. Seeing a lot of comments even from neutrals that they’re very frustrated watching this game.

Surely the last thing the Premier League wanted today was a soft red card in Man City’s favour that completely turns the game - but Kavanagh has a long history of being incomptent (at best) yet still gets awarded these kind of games.

What’s your problem today?

There’s no way the league can’t see how it looks when they appoint a Mancunian referee to officiate this game and he comes up with that game changer. Inexplicable.

That aside, we played well up to the red card but never honestly looked like winning.

Kavanagh was smart. He set up the conditions with the first soft yellows (in one direction), so he can plausibly give a second.

Covered his tracks well, as the focus will be on a player on a yellow giving the ref “a decision to be made.”

Another good reason to stack more Anglo players - even if such reason is cynical. Big teams with large number of Anglo players always get lighter treatment from refs here in England - this has been true since forever.

Agree, ignoring those same soft fouls by Man City to avoid putting himself in that situation with them. Straight red cards put referees under the spotlight, 2nd yellows get forgotten in a day. I have no doubt pundits will say “it was a harsh red but…” and never mention it again.

The 2 pundits, Owen and the lad they bought from Everton, both can’t see any contact for the 1st yellow

Fucking bent as fuck.

I was laughing at Anfield as I watched.

It’s a joke.

Because there wasn’t. Grav pulled out of the challenge and that cheating shite Anderson went down like he’d been shot..after three seconds of the non-contact.
Semenyo even pretended to wave for the physio to really ham it up. And lo and behold Anderson was up on his feet like nothing happened.

See Anderson bar Macca and Grav in the face with his arm on several occasions? Not even a warning.

The Premier League is basically WWE at this point - Sports Entertainment. It can’t be called genuine sport anymore with how much of a mockery City are making of it.

The league is ruined really. This isn’t a classic ‘defeat in adversity’ situation. It’s a great team which has been illegally assembled. Will these points be taken off them in the end? Hopefully, but it just makes a mockery of the whole season

I have read many times his brother holds a season ticket for watching the Cheaters at home…

To be honest it is a good way of channeling anger/frustration.

You forgot the Yellow for (I think Anderson) when the game was done and dusted. Providing him a ‘I was consist and equal to both teams’.
Grav broke the Midfield line at least twice and was hauled down. Advantage was played and so no card was issued to their players
