But yeah…
This is the most important game of the season, well at least it will be until the next one. It’s an absolutely must win game.
This is the first time we have played Midtjylland, and, as far as I can tell, it’s the first time tonight’s referee, Radosław Siejka has taken charge of one of our games. Nor for that matter has he reffed any of Midtjylland’s previous, so no previous form to go on as a guide to tonight’s result. Except of course, that so far this season every referee has been agin us. Fingers crossed he’s a homer tonight.
As mentioned in my previous pre-match post, thanks to the intervention of that excrescence, @cynicaloldgit, there will be no mesologue (or λέγοντα μεταξύ, if you prefer the Attic to the koiné or Hellenistic Greek) in my post concerning the Lowton household.
While this might have come as a blow to some men in this world, such as those who cannot rest, who are so constituted that they can only take their leisure in the shape of a change of work, I am happy to relate, that from a very early age, I never counted myself in their number. Mine is a life that lacks, perhaps, the sublimer emotions which raise man to the level of the gods, but while I may have never experienced the thrill of ambition fulfilled, conversely, I have never known the agony of ambition frustrated.
Never do today what you can put off till tomorrow, or possibly Friday week, is my watchword.
So having completed the prologue, it’s straight onto the epilogue.
Although they might be comparative minnows we should not take the result against Midtjylland for granted, consequently,
This game has all the makings of a potential banana skin! (well someone had to say it)
I’ll take a scrappy 1-0 win to us.

It works for me, but the Lowton as a lingua franca may be a frustrated ambition actually.

I wonder when Fabinho will get a chance to rest, now that he’s our main CB.
Oh… I hate Millie in a double pivot, hope it’s 4-3-3 with Shaqiri at LCM.
Also hope we hide Origi out on the left, go there and do your best, leave the more complex and more important central stuff to Taki.
