Pre Match | Liverpool vs Newcastle | PL Matchday 20 | Monday January 1st 20:00h | Anfield

oops

Alisson
Trent Konate Van Dijk Gomez
Endo
Szob Jones
Salah Gakpo Nunez

I think that’s what I’d go with. Not a lot of choice at full back, and it is what it is. I thought Gomez was prob MOTM against Burney, so no worries aside from not think he can play three in a week.

Endo also probably has to start, but fingers crossed Mac is back imminently.

The other positions I think represent our best options. Gravenberch is still getting to grips with things. Still think Elliott is at his best coming on late against tired legs.

Well that only becomes an issue in late Jan. I’d play Bradley in the FA Cup. I’m not too bothered with that match and the players missing.

Bradley will have to start the FA Cup game - if nothing else he needs some opportunity to show if hes a viable option for the first team long term.

6 days between Burnley and Newcastle and then 5 days until the FA Cup match. Think Gomez will start them all.

Could see Bradley start at home against Fulham (league cup semi final first leg).

Robbo due back 3rd week of Jan.

Bournemouth then?

It’s actually only 3 games if we don’t have a replay and only one league game.

Hopefully we smash these cheating fuckers. Send Beheddie and his dickhead assistant to the job centre.

Beheddie. :joy:

Gordon was booked in his last match. Was that his fifth? Is he suspended?

No he will be available.

Lascelles, Barnes, Murphy, Pope, Targett and Willock are likely to miss out.

Doubt they will be as weak as they’ve been yesterday. The 6 days between the games will surely help them.

Newcastle had 8 or 9 of their strongest 11 players starting yesterday, so they’re getting their key people back.

They seem very inconsistent right now, from good performance/result, to bad performance/result.

We had a bit of luck against them in the last few games, hopefully we can beat them again.

Be a tough game but their away form is absolutely off, 24 from 30 at home 5 from 27 away. In fact Forest was the first home loss since us.

We need to make Anfield count as per usual, we have 20 days before our next PL game

Really? I don’t remember any.

We fucking battered them at Anfield last season when Carvalho scored the late winner and it was justice for their complete shithousery the whole game.
We beat them comfortably away too, the fact they had Pope sent off wasn’t ‘luck’.
This season we had to overcome another referee doing his absolute best to shaft us. Again no luck involved.

Smash them. They’re still oily shit!

Could be back for Bournemouth then. That’d be nice.

Well after today’s results we all know what instructions Webb gives Taylor …

Is this game even important?..

Kidding. Would love to win this on any number of levels.

Jinxed???
