We should lead by two goals already, and play eleven men against ten. It’s very frustrating.
I don’t know how Salah missed that chance after two minutes, and Gini missed a sitter too. Courtois had to make a couple of good saves too. On the other side, we are lucky not to get a goal after Phillips’ mistake leading to that shot on the post.
Casemiro should have been sent off. It’s an absolute no-brainer, and only a moron like Kuipers could have thought otherwise.
But all in all, the level of performance from our lads is far, far better than in Madrid. At least, the commitment is there. Milner plays a very important role in that regard. Hopefully, the lads can build on this first-half performance, and score the goals they need. They can do it.

Just hope we get one early in the 2nd half. If we do they could fold, they’re definitely not playing that well. If we dont i can see us taking too many risks and conceding some shitty goal from a ball over the top of our way too high defensive line
Dream scenario of Liverpool and BvB going through is still possible. An early goal now to us and it would inject perhaps the spirit and morale boost we need to do the magical.

A case of Jekyll and Hyde for Bobby. Excellent off the ball, and dross with it.
His work rate up top merits him staying on though. Need our big game players till the end. Last 20 minutes can gamble.
Trying is one thing but the piss poor passing and dreadful form of certain individuals this entire season is alarming.

Watched a bit of PSG v Bayern last night. Either of those two would batter RM. They’re there for the taking if we could only find our shooting boots.
Much better tonight than last week. Need to score one early 2nd half. We outplayed them just can’t find the net. Need Jota and Thiago 2nd half.

I’m not going to multi-quote everyone here but the recurring theme is poor finishing.
I’m getting to the point where I’d advocate binning all the front three and investing the proceeds in either Haaland or Mbappé.

Much better press. Let the deepest RM defender have it, and close the passing options. Contrast that with last week, when we harassed the deepest defenders and let the midfield loose.

And I get as supporters we want to hang our hat on these comforting thoughts that “we played a good half!” but in this exact situation that’s the equivalent of a participation trophy. Yay boys! You gave effort! What you’re paid to do!

We need a clinical finisher or we’re going out.
Should have been the perfect start with the big chance by Salah. On his left foot, Courtois scrambling in one direction, a sweeping pass into the opposite corner would’ve left the keeper flat footed.
But we’re still in the game. Conitnue ot be brave on the ball, and hopefully we can keep up the stamina went RM break.
Why shouldn’t Milly be the best, age is just a number he has experience and more will to win than any other player out there, his minutes need to be managed that’s all
